Wirt Construction Co. Inc. is the general contractor for this expansion of CoxHealth's south campus. Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. is the architect and Ross & Baruzzini is the mechanical engineer.
With an estimated cost of $14.5 million, this project is expanding an existing 27,000-square-foot, two-story general office building into an 81,000-square-foot, four-story facility. The outpatient radiology department will have enough space to accommodate four MRI machines, PET/CT scan, CT and nuclear imaging, standard chest and full-body radiography fluoroscopy, ultrasound and related imaging systems.
The building's endoscopy suite has eight procedure rooms and 39 pre- and post-holding suites.
