Hubert Smith is the do-it-all man for the A&W-Long John Silvers Carhop in Marshfield. He is serving as the owner, developer and general contractor for the project at 1291 Banning St. The facility will have 16 car-hop stalls and a dining room for 82 people.
"There is no fast fish here in Marshfield," Smith said. "It's a really neat theme. It's only the third building that I know of that that has ever been put up that is a co-brand carhop."
The project, which will cost an estimated $1 million, is expected to be finished by Aug. 6.
Smith is building the property under his HK&D Prop-erties LLC company, and will own the business under his Raylee Enterprises Inc. tag.
