Loon Lake Properties LLC, a corporate entity of Great River Engineering partners King Coltrin, Spencer Jones and Mel Eakins, is owner/developer of this new structure that will house Great River Engineering, said Spencer Jones. The group is acting as its own general contractor for the project. H Design Group is the architect. HBH Engineers is the mechanical and electrical engineer, and Great River is the civil engineer.
The 9,600-square-foot structure has an estimated completion date of September. The estimated construction cost for the project is $1,000,120, according to the building permit filed with the city of Springfield. The lender is Guaranty Bank. The single-story structure will have a mezzanine, 15 offices, three conference rooms, three garage bays and an open area that will accommodate several design technicians. The firm has 25 employees, but the company hopes to eventually accommodate between 40 and 50 personnel. The exterior will be rock, brick and stone, with wood shutters.
