Connell Insurance named Branson Small Business of the Year

The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau last night named Connell Insurance Inc. as its 2012 Small Business of the Year.

During the July 24 ceremony held at Branson's White House Theatre, the chamber also named Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks the Charity of the Year, according to a news release.

Small Business of the Year finalists were Branson Tourism Center, Compton Ridge Campground, Hollywood Studio Store & More and Patient Pal LLC. Charity finalists were Christian Action Ministries, Church Army, The Caring People and Tri-Lakes United Way.

The winners were chosen by a committee of local officials, volunteer chamber leaders and chamber executives, according to the release.

The 2011 winners were Skoglund Properties Inc. for Small Business of the Year and Faith Community Health Center for Charity of the Year.
