Conde Nast eyeing purchase of The Hollywood Reporter

The Hollywood Reporter is considering a sale, and Conde Nast reportedly is considering buying it.

People familiar with the matter told CNN that several months ago, Conde Nast entered negotiations to buy The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard from Eldridge Industries.

Negotiations came to a halt in December when Conde Nast did not agree with Eldridge's asking price. Sources disagree as to whether the negotiations are finished.
