Company hired by Missouri to score marijuana licenses loses lawsuit

Wise Health Solutions, the company the state of Missouri hired to score applicants for medical marijuana licenses, lost a $28 million lawsuit.

GMT Consulting sued Wise Health Solutions last year when it did not receive a license. The lawsuit alleged Wise’s scoring method was flawed in such a way that it wrongfully denied dispensary licenses.

GMT is in court seeking to force the $28 million judgment to be paid out by Wise’s insurance company, Illinois-based Hiscox Insurance Co.
