Community partners launch affordable housing locator

Posted online
Community Partnership of the Ozarks and partners last week officially launched an affordable housing locator through a new website.

A partnership with the city of Springfield and Community Foundation of the Ozarks, TheAffordableHousingCenter.org provides information on properties available for lease in Greene, Christian and Webster counties, according to a news release.

The database currently contains some 2,900 rental units with an average of 125 units available at any given time.

Since its soft launch in mid-January, the website has recorded more than 800 searches for housing in the three-county area. Users can set search parameters, such as rent, number of bedrooms, location, amenities and accessibility features, the release said.

The website also has tools available for landlords to list their vacancies.[[In-content Ad]]
