Community Improvement District seeks board members

The Community Improvement District is seeking nominations for board members through Oct. 2.

Nominees must be at least 18 years old and either a registered voter within the district, own real property or be a representative of an entity that owns property within the district, or represent a business that is physically located in the district. The downtown district is bound by Elm Street on the south, Main Avenue on the west, Water Street on the north and Kimbrough Avenue on the east.

The board meets at 7:30 a.m. the second Wednesday of every month in the Busch Municipal Building. Board members must regularly attend all meetings and participate in the district’s businesses through committees, events and reviewing reports and proposals.

Nominees may be self-nominated. Nomination forms and additional information are available by contacting Barb Baker at (417) 831-6200 or at the Urban Districts Alliance office at 304 W. McDaniel St.
