Community Cooperation

Posted online
Taneyville is now home to two new businesses due in part to a partnership between the Taney County Office of Economic Development and White River Valley Electric Cooperative. David Stefan, center, relocated his manufacturing business, Positive Connection, to the Taney County town after county officials and the electric cooperative found an inexpensive way to supply three-phase electric service to his site. The solution: hook up Positive Connection to the same transformer base as Blast Wholesale – Blast owner Jim Bradley, right, had also been looking to move to Taneyville. On hand at the Taney County offices to celebrate the partnership are, from left, White River Valley Electric Staking Engineer Rob Dalton, Taney County Economic Development Director Joan Chowning, Stefan, Taneyville Board of Trustees Chairwoman Sheilla Braden and Bradley.
