Commissioner leads committee

Darrell Decker, associate commissioner for Greene County, was appointed chairperson of the corrections subcommittee of the National Association of Counties' justice and public safety committee. According to a NACo news release, Decker was appointed by the NACo's president, Javier Gonzales. |ret||ret||tab|

The justice and public safety steering committee focuses on criminal justice and public safety systems. The committee's recommendations on legislative policies and goals are presented to NACo's membership during the organization's annual conference. |ret||ret||tab|

If the recommendations are approved, they become part of the American County Platform, which is the basis of NACo's efforts to represent counties before Congress and the White House.[[In-content Ad]]
