Messiah Lutheran Church, originally built in 1962, has undergone six major addition/remodel projects. This interior design project by GHN Architects & Engineers aims to unify all the changes with an open plan and abundant glass admitting natural light. Stone, wood and neutral colors combine to create a space with natural relationships and traffic flow. Custom pews with two-tone wood finishes are arranged in a fanned layout surrounding the chancel. The neutral palette allows the colors of liturgical seasons to stand out and set the mood for celebrating different times of the church year. The design and furnishings in the worship center accommodate both traditional and contemporary services. Projection areas are incorporated into the wall composition, and uses for a multifunctional music area include a band, choir and hand-bell choir. A central aisle is maintained for ceremonial processions.[[In-content Ad]]
