More than 10 lofts will be featured during Loft Walk, along with three designer showcase lofts.
“The designer showcase lofts came about as a result of several lucky coincidences,” said Commercial Club President Ron Walker.
Showcase lofts
The showcase lofts, located at 426 W. Commercial, were being renovated at the inception of the designer showcase idea. Designers were able to work with a blank slate, adding details such as custom window coverings, built-to-order cabinets and imported Italian tile in the kitchens and bathrooms.
Several members of Springfield Design Association contributed their work to the showcase lofts.
Tickets
Loft Walk Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 – or $8 with a student ID – at Maschino’s Home Express, Kaleidoscope, Rathbone Ace Hardware and Urban Districts Alliance. Tickets will be $12 the day of the event and will be available at the market pavilion at Jefferson and Commercial streets.
Loft Walk proceeds will support preservation and beautification efforts in the historic Commercial Street District.
Commercial Club of Springfield promotes, preserves and beautifies the district and the surrounding community through charitable, cultural, educational, literary and social programs and events.
