The grant will underwrite a $1,000 student scholarship at each of the member schools. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need.
Drury University, Evangel University and Southwest Baptist University are local members of the Missouri Colleges Fund.
“Drury University is very grateful to Commerce Bank and the Missouri Colleges Fund for this gift,” said Drury President John Sellers in an Oct. 12 news release. “This contribution recognizes the importance of education and the significant impact that an educated workforce has on Missouri’s economy.”
