Commerce Bank adds Richard Ollis to its board of directors

Richard Ollis, president and chief executive officer of Ollis & Company Insurors, has joined Commerce Bank's regional advisory board, according to an announcement from John Himmel, chairman, Commerce Bank-Springfield Region.

Ollis, a Springfield native and graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, is a fourth-generation insurance consultant specializing in business insurance.

He also is chairman-elect of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce and he serves on the boards of Springfield Little Theatre, the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Safety Council of the Ozarks.

"This year, 2002, is the 100th anniversary of our bank charter in Springfield," Himmel said. "The addition of Richard Ollis to our board represents Commerce Bank's continued commitment to developing long-standing customer relationships and ever deepening our roots in the Springfield community that we have served for a century."

(Bob) Hammer-schmidt, Jr., president, Commerce Bank-Springfield Region, "Through mutual civic involvement, I have seen firsthand the perspectives on business and community that Richard brings to the table.
