Dividend certificates will be distributed Dec. 13 to shareholders of record Nov. 29. No fractional shares will be issued, and shareholders will receive cash for fractional interests based on the market value of the stock on the record date.
Commerce also declared a 24.5-cent-per-share quarterly dividend payable Dec. 13 to shareholders of record Nov. 29. The dividend, unchanged from the previous two quarters, will not be payable as to any shares to be issued pursuant to the 5 percent stock dividend.
Commerce operates nearly 360 locations in Missouri, Kansas and Illinois. Company shares (Nasdaq: CBSH) closed Oct. 20 at $48.20, compared to a 52-week range of $47.88 to $53.63.
