Comcast expects rivals Disney and Fox will force the company to up its bid for British satellite TV provider Sky, people familiar with the matter told CNBC.
Comcast has currently made the highest bid for Sky, offering $34 billion.
Fox's offer is less, though Disney is already buying Fox's 39 percent stake in Sky as part of its $71.3 billion acquision of certain Fox assets earlier this year.
