Columbia projected to spend 80% of cash reserves by 2031

The city of Columbia is projected to spend more than 80% of its cash reserves by 2031.

That amounts to around $31.1 million over the next city years.

Expenditures are expected to soon outpace revenues amid higher employee wages and benefits and lower-than-expected sales tax collections.
