Posted online
Responding to news that seven Andy Warhol screenprints were stolen from Springfield Art Museum, a Colorado artist has offered to donate some of her pieces based off Warhol's works.

"It's very heartbreaking," Lindsey Wohlman told the Springfield News-Leader Thursday afternoon from Lafayette, Colo. "I just have a picture in my head of these seven holes on the wall where these were hanging. I want to try to help the museum cope with the loss."

An open letter to Nick Nelson, the museum's director, offered seven of her Warhol Uncanned works. Her take on Warhol, the works feature freestanding soups without cans.

Nelson said the museum plans to soon work with Wohlman on a collaborative project.
