Missouri Small Business Development Centers and Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Centers have invited owners and managers from 18 of their top-performing clients to Jefferson City for a Jan. 30 client showcase. Each business will exhibit its products and services at the Capitol rotunda and receive legislative resolutions from state senators and representatives honoring the business’ impact on the state’s economic development.
Springfield’s Hammer Collections, started by Mike and Charlotte Dawley in May 2006, is among the highlighted companies, as is Sign Designs in Joplin.
The businesses all received assistance from MOSBDC and MOPTAC counselors in starting or expanding their enterprises, said Steve Wyatt, director of University of Missouri Extension’s business development program, in a news release. University of Missouri Extension oversees MOSBDC and MOPTAC.
“This showcase provides a venue to demonstrate the importance of Missouri’s small businesses to the economic vitality of the state,” Wyatt said in the release.
This installment of Springfield Business Journal’s Architects & Engineers Project Report showcases 26 endeavors by area design and engineering professionals.
