Coke profits rise 61%

Coca-Cola Co.'s net income surged 61 percent in the fourth quarter to $1.2 billion compared to the same time a year earlier.

Revenue fell 8 percent to $10 billion during the quarter.

During the quarter, global beverage volume rose 3 percent, including a 2 percent increase in sparkling beverages.
