Project description: In 2019, Coffey County, Kansas, was looking to replace aging law enforcement facilities located at the west end of its courthouse. County officials opted for a phased approach, with Phase 1 being a new 96-bed facility, now under construction. Phase 2 will consist of renovation of the vacated courthouse jail and sheriff’s offices with a larger second courtroom, judge’s chambers, jury room and storage space to be included.
