The co-founder and former CEO of 23andMe has inked a deal to buy the company.
Anne Wojcicki's TTAM Research Institute nonprofit bid $305 million for 23andMe’s assets via bankruptcy proceedings. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals had bid $256 million.
“I am thrilled that TTAM Research Institute will be able to continue the mission of 23andMe to help people access, understand and benefit from the human genome,” said Wojcicki, who stepped down as 23andMe's CEO when the company filed for bankruptcy in March.
