CNN takes $100M step into streaming

CNN on Tuesday debuted its new streaming service, CNN Plus.

Since working on the launch since summer 2021, the network has invested nearly $100 million into the venture. It's the network's largest investment in new programming and formats since CNN was founded in 1980, according to The Washington Post.

CNN Plus has a $6 monthly subscription fee and will feature as many as a dozen new live shows.
