CMH wins Missouri Quality Award

Posted online
Bolivar-based Citizens Memorial Hospital will receive the Missouri Quality Award today at an awards banquet in Columbia.

The nonprofit Excellence in Missouri Foundation-sponsored award recognizes excellence in leadership, according to a CMH news release.

“This is an important accomplishment for the organization, and I am extremely proud of all of the work that our boards, physicians and staff do to improve the quality of care and services at CMH,” CEO Donald J. Babb said in the release.

CMH is among six recipients of the award; the others are Lake Regional Health System of Osage Beach, Capital Region Medical Center of Jefferson City, Mid-America Transplant Services of St. Louis, Saint Luke’s Health System of Kansas City and SSM Health Care St. Louis, according to the award's Web site.

The award is modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the release said.

CMH opened in 1982 and serves Cedar, Dade, Dallas, Hickory, Greene, Polk and St. Clair counties.[[In-content Ad]]
