CMH taps Huckabee for annual Burgundy Ball

Posted online
Politician, author and commentator Mike Huckabee will deliver the keynote address for Citizens Memorial Healthcare’s annual gala.

The former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate is scheduled to speak during the Bolivar health care system’s 14th annual Burgundy Ball on Sept. 16 at University Plaza Convention Center, according to a news release.

Event proceeds will benefit CMH’s Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center and its Tremain Family Hospitality House.

Huckabee, 61, is slated to present a speech called, “Too Funny To Be True, But It Is!” He’s expected to tell humorous stories about politics, the South and travel.

On June 9, Huckabee joined Gov. Eric Greitens in Springfield at University Plaza to rally for the Missouri’s special session on abortion.

CMH each year brings in famous figures for its Burgundy Ball. Past keynote speakers include Lee Ann Womack, Sugar Ray Leonard and Ozzie Smith.
