Citizens Memorial Healthcare has inked a deal to purchase Bolivar Family Care Center for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition, effective Oct. 1, adds the more than 30-year-old clinic to the Bolivar health system's repertoire, according to a news release.
The 1240 N. Butterfield Road clinic provides services in family care, obstetrics, pediatrics and geriatrics, according to its website. CMH plans to begin billing services starting Oct. 1, and add electronic medial records, digital radiology and expanded lab services by Jan. 1, 2014.
CMH and Bolivar Family Care Center have worked closely together, as the physicians affiliated with the clinic are also on the medical staff at CMH, according to the release.
“We have partnered with Bolivar Family Care for many years and we are excited to be able to bring it all together as part of the CMH family of services. We plan to continue to provide excellent patient care and expand services in the near future," CMH CEO Donald Babb said in the release.
Bolivar Family Care Center employs eight physicians and four mid-level medical professionals.
