Marcella Peck is the new administrator for Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility, a long-term care center in Bolivar.

The Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation, which operates the 111-bed facility at 1218 W. Locust St., announced Peck’s hiring in a news release. The center provides transitional and long-term skilled nursing care.

Peck has more than 25 years of experience in long-term care leadership, regulatory compliance and resident-centered care, according to the release. Her past employment includes leadership roles in long-term care and service as a facility surveyor and team leader with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, where she evaluated nursing homes for compliance with state and federal quality standards.

Peck most recently was employed as administrator at Willow Health Care Inc., where she worked for over four years, according to her LinkedIn profile. She earned a bachelor’s in social work from Missouri State University and is a licensed nursing home administrator and an advanced care planning facilitator, according to the release.

“Marcella brings extensive experience in long-term care and a strong understanding of quality and regulatory standards,” said Tim Francka, administrative director of long-term care for Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation, in the release. “Her experience as both a nursing home administrator and a state surveyor gives her a unique perspective, and I know she’ll be a great addition to our long-term care team.”

She succeeds Cindy Cain, who transitioned to a clinical role at Citizens Memorial Hospital after serving three years as administrator.
