Citizens Memorial Healthcare donated a former clinic to the Stockton R-1 School District.
The 5,348-square-foot property that previously housed CMH’s Stockton Family Medical Center was appraised at $428,000 in 2011, said CMH Director of Marketing Tamera Heitz-Peek. She was unable to confirm the current value of the donation by deadline.
Stockton R-1 Superintendent Shannon Snow said the property will eventually become an alternative school.
“We can keep it kind of separate, but keep it on campus,” Snow said this morning.
Snow said it may not be until the 2018-19 academic year until the building is used because renovations will likely be conducted.
The former clinic, built in the 1990s, was used until 2011 when the Stockton Family Medical Center moved to a new location at 1521 S. Third St. in Stockton.
