A doctor at Citizens Memorial Hospital was on the international stage this month.
Dr. Curtis P. Schreiber, a neurologist and dementia specialist with CMH's Missouri Memory Center and its research department, presented on the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease during the 2025 International Conference on Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s Diseases and Related Neurological Disorders in Vienna, Austria, according to a news release. The event was held April 1-5.
"His presentation highlighted findings and clinical insights from the Missouri Memory Center at CMH," officials said in the release. The international conference drew more than 5,500 participants from 76 countries, bringing together global experts in neurology to share breakthroughs and foster collaboration in neurodegenerative disease research."
Schreiber, who has practiced for more than three decades, was honored for Springfield Business Journal's Health Care Champions awards in 2022.
