The article on choosing a security system, which appeared on pages 14 and 15 of the Jan. 1, 2001, issue of the Business Journal, contained incorrect wording. Midwest Security Inc., a guard company, responds to alarms; the alarm systems are monitored by the alarm system companies who contract with Midwest for response services. Monitoring companies that utilize Midwest Security for alarm response include American Detection Inc., ADT Security Systems, Atlas Security Service Inc. and Federal Protection Inc.
The Springfield Area's Largest Banks list that appeared in the Feb. 5, 2001 issue of the Business Journal, contained an error. The Bank's 2000 and 1999 local net operating income figures were transposed. The Bank had 2000 operating income of $1.02 million and 1999 operating income of $481,000.
A provider of hyperbaric oxygen therapy opened its first Missouri location on Aug. 12 at 1316 E. Republic Road.
