Civic Plaza will be a multi-tenant commercial retail and office complex located in Springfield's downtown. The six-story Civic Plaza will have more than 180,000 net square feet of office and retail space. The elevation and the plan for Civic Plaza will complement and echo the design characteristics of neighboring civic buildings. A warm-toned pre-cast concrete-and-glass facade set against a "quilted" backdrop of windows and metal wall panels will give the facility an identifiable and contemporary image. Glass shop fronts with colorful awnings will line and soften the public sidewalks at the north and west edges of the building base, reinforcing street activity at a scale both appropriate and inviting to pedestrians.
