City reports increased sales tax check

Springfield's July 2010 1 percent sales tax check from the Missouri Department of Revenue has increased in comparison to July 2009.

The check went up 16.34 percent and to $3,59 million, compared to $3.08 million in July 2009, according to a Springfield Department of Public Information news release.

The sales tax check marks the first for fiscal year 2011, which started on July 1.[[In-content Ad]]
