In its continuing efforts to unload unneeded real estate, the city of Springfield has opened a sixth group of city-owned properties for bid.
Each parcel includes a reserve price, which reflects the amount the city needs to cover its costs and expenses for the property.
The sixth group includes seven properties:
· 1327 W. Catalpa St., which is zoned for single-family residential use and has a reserve price of $17,000;
· 703 E. Dale St., zoned residential townhouse with a reserve price of $7,000;
· 1025 N. Broadway Ave., zoned single-family residential with a reserve of $10,000;
· 513 N. Franklin Ave., zoned for heavy manufacturing and carrying a reserve price of $8,000;
· 1517 N. Irving Ave., zoned for highway commercial use with a reserve of $14,000;
· 649 W. High St., zoned single-family residential with a reserve price of $18,000; and
· 3014 W. Lincoln St., zoned single-family residential with an $8,200 reserve.
The complete bid documents are available on the
city Web site. Bids are due by 3 p.m. on March 11.
Net proceeds from the property sales will go to the fund from which each property was purchased, up to the amount of the purchase price, according to a city news release. Additional proceeds, according to previous statements from Springfield City Council members, will go into the Police-Fire Pension Fund.[[In-content Ad]]
