The city of St. Louis intends to demolish nearly 200 tornado-damaged buildings owned by the Land Reutilization Authority, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The LRA already had planned to raze 1,000 properties by the end of 2026 before the recent tornado hit St. Louis.
The LRA's property inventory is largely on the north side of St. Louis, which was hit the hardest by the storm.
