City launches online design guide for contractors, developers

Posted online
The city of Springfield has launched an online design guide for public improvements, created to help contractors and developers navigate requirements and standards.

The guide, accessible via the city's website, contains documents pertaining to design standards, general conditions, technical specifications and drawing details for public improvement, as well as a contractor rating system, according to a news release.

“We ask consultants, contractors and any other groups to become familiar with the additions and changes that have been made,” said Brandon Braun, Public Works project engineer, in the release. “By providing these updated tools, we look forward to working with our partners on public works and environmental projects.”
