City, county set different dates for debris pickup

Posted online
The city of Springfield is reminding citizens to place tree debris for pickup at the right of way by March 28, while Greene County has announced that its unincorporated residents should have their debris at the right of way by March 19.

The third and final round of ice-storm debris collection for unincorporated areas of Greene County begins Monday. Debris appearing along the right of way in those areas after Monday may not be picked up.

Meanwhile, the city’s final round of collection begins March 28.

Debris pickup is being handled by Alabama-based DRC Emergency Services.
