City Council candidates schedule public meeting

Six City Council candidates who are not already on the council will hold a public meeting Feb. 2, four days before the council primary election.

Doug Burlison, Dan Chiles, Randel H. Hanes, Steven Lloyd Reed, Cynthia Rushefsky and Jack Steck will introduce themselves and speak about why they want to be elected to the council. A question-and-answer period will follow.

The event will be 7–9 p.m. in the The Library Station’s Santa Fe room at 2535 N. Kansas Expressway.
