The third annual Economic Outlook Conference, called New Challenges, New Opportunities, features panelists Michael Nietzel, Missouri State University president; Virginia Fry, Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin managing partner; Jack Stack, SRC Holdings Corp. president and CEO; and Jim Batten, O’Reilly Auto Parts treasurer.
Peter Ricchiuti, an internationally known finance expert and assistant dean of the Freeman School of Business at Tulane Unversity, is the keynote speaker of the 10 a.m.–1:30 p.m. event. Ricchiuti worked in investment banking firm Kidder Peabody & Co.’s Boston office before managing a $3 billion investment portfolio as assistant state treasurer and chief investment officer of Louisiana. Ricchiuti also founded the Burkenroad Reports, an investment research program at Tulane, which has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNBC, CNN and Nightly Business Report.
The conference is presented by the Springfield Business & Development Corp., a Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce subsidiary, and the city of Springfield.
Registration deadline is Sept. 13. Cost is $40 a person or $30 for an employee of SBDC member investor companies.
