Lee’s Summit-based Exchange National in the next few months will consolidate its 25 banking locations in Missouri and rename them Hawthorn Bank. The consolidation includes the holding company’s Bank 10 branches, Exchange National Bank of Jefferson City branches, Osage Valley Bank branch and Citizens Union State Bank & Trust branches, one of which is located at 321 W. Battlefield Road.
The switchover at the Springfield bank is expected to take place in May.
The consolidation and name change are part of a strategic plan announced in December that is meant to “separate and distinguish our banks from any other bank in Missouri or the central states region,” according to a company news release. Once all banks are operating under the same name, customers will be able to carry over business to any location.
