Iowa-based Hy-Vee suspended its employee discount program over fraud allegations.
The program in place since late 2019 had allowed Hy-Vee employees and one member of their household to receive 10% off grocery items. Hy-Vee officials say the program has been used by others not living in the employees' households or the same cities.
A revamped employee discount program is being developed.
