Chuck E. Cheese is retiring its band of animatronic pals who sing and shake their mechanical limbs to cover tunes in 500 U.S. restaurants.
The Pizza Time Players have been in rotation since 1977, according to Tom Leverton, the CEO of the company.
The mechanical bands will gradually be phased out over the new few years.
