A Georgia jury found Chrysler responsible for the fiery death of a 4-year old who was burned alive in a Jeep Grand Cherokee involved in a 2012 accident.
According to CNNMOney, the jury found Chrysler showed "reckless or wanton disregard for human life in the design or sale" of the vehicle's gas tank, which federal safety regulators argued could leak fuel and burst into flames when struck from behind.
The victim was in his car seat in the back seat when a pickup truck struck the vehicle from behind, causing the SUV to burst into flames, according to the suit.
The jury awarded $120 million for the loss of life and $30 million for pain and suffering.
