Christian County asks for input on comprehensive plan

Christian County will hold seven public meetings to gather input as it prepares to update its comprehensive plan.

"The comprehensive plan will be the guiding document that the Planning and Zoning Commission, the County Commission and the planning staff refer to for decisions concerning countywide growth issues such as zoning, subdivision regulations, development proposals, codes and economic development," county Planning and Zoning Acting Administrator Bob Atchley said in a news release.

The public meetings are scheduled for:

• Feb. 24, at Billings Senior Citizens Center;

• Feb. 25, at Clever Schools Upper Elementary Auditorium;

• March 3, at Highlandville City Hall;

• March 4, at Sparta Elementary School Multipurpose Room;

• March 10, at Nixa City Hall;

• March 11, at Ozark City Hall; and

• April 28, at Christian County Courthouse, Room 208.

Each meeting begins at 7 p.m. Findings will be presented at the April 28 meeting.
