Matt Morrow, executive officer of the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield, receives the 2008 Choose Environmental Excellence award April 18 from Emily Fox, CEO of 2007 winner Discovery Center. The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce gives the award each year to a member whose environmental stewardship efforts serve as a model for business and industry. HBA was recognized for its adoption of the National Association of Home Builders Green Building Guidelines and its new office space, 636 W. Republic Road, Bldg. D, which was built according to those guidelines.
