Project description: The Chip & Teresa McGeehan Victory Mission and Ministry Headquarters is planned as the organization’s hub for addressing homelessness in southwest Missouri. The project brings several key services together under one roof with the intention of offering men a path from crisis to stability, project officials say. There will be 160 emergency shelter beds with transitional housing for those working toward independence as well as long-term recovery housing. The building will also include a dining hall, training center and administrative offices at a total project cost of $22 million. It replaces a 70-year-old shelter that had reached capacity and will extend the number of men who can be served in the region. Architect is Dake Wells Architecture Inc. Engineers are Own Inc., civil; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
