Chinese province admits falsifying economic data for years

Gov. Chen Qiufa of Liaoning, a major industrial region in northeastern China, admitted this week the province falsified economic data.

Chen said false statistics boosted the province's economic data from 2011 to 2014.

In same cases, officials inflated government income by over 100 percent.
