Chinese investors' deal for Chicago Stock Exchange clears US security hurdle

A group of Chinese investors have obtained the U.S. government’s approval to acquire the Chicago Stock Exchange.

The investors led by Chongqing Casin Enterprise Group were approved for the purchase by the Committee on Foreign Investment.

The deal still requires approval by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. That decision could come as soon as February.
