Chinese firm calls off $2B purchase of Vizio

Chinese electronics company LeEco has ended its $2 billion bid to buy U.S. TV maker Vizio.

The companies jointly announced “the merger agreement to acquire Vizio will not proceed due to regulatory headwinds.”

Since being announced last July, the proposed purchase has faced obstacles by Chinese regulators.
