Chinese airlines seek compensation from Boeing

China's three largest airlines are seeking compensation from Boeing over losses they say occurred after the grounding of 737 Max jets.

Air China Ltd., China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd. and China Eastern Airlines Corp. Ltd. are asking for the compensation.

“China has grounded 96 aircraft, which is about 4% of its airplanes. The grounding causes huge losses for Chinese airlines,” China aviation expert Li Xiaojin told Reuters.
