China’s trade surplus exceeds estimates

China’s trade surplus was $32.6 billion in March, above estimates of $6 billion to $7.05 billion.

During the month, exports rose 14.2% from a year earlier, above expectations of 7.3%.

Some analysts said the surplus increase might have been brought on by seasonal factors, as shipments jumped after the Lunar New Year holidays caused business decreases.
